Name of Sire: ____________________________________________________ Name of Dam: _________________________________________________ Name of Dog: _______________________ Sex:________ Color: _______________________ Date of whelp:____________________ This is a contractual agreement for the sale and ownership of one Cavalier King Charles dog. This agreement is made between Karla Brittson and the purchaser(s)___________________________________________________________ The above dog will be referred to as dog or puppy in the agreement. I (the breeder) am selling this puppy as a pet quality puppy. Sales Price for this dog is: $ ___________________ minus the deposit in the amount of $ ___________. The sale price is to be paid in full at the time a dog is picked up, or if not picked up, prior to the dog being shipped, pursuant to the arrangements made by the purchaser(s). Payment is to be by cash only. I (the buyer) agree to assume all financial responsibility, including vaccinations, illnesses, and any other reasonable veterinary costs. I (the buyer) further agree to safely contain this dog and to protect it from any dangers to the best of my ability. I (the buyer) agree to provide adequate food, water and shelter at all times. These dogs should be kept in the house. If this dog is found to be criminally neglected by animal control, being denied adequate food, water, shelter or human companionship or used to breed puppies for pet shops or laboratories, I (the breeder) may take back the puppy/adult dog. No refund will be given. Health Warranty: ▪ The puppy was vaccinated at six & eight weeks of age. The puppy should receive its third puppy shot at 12 weeks, first rabies shot at 16 weeks and then receive an annual booster & rabies shot every year there after. ▪ This dog is also warranted for one year from the date of birth to be free of hereditary defects such as HVD. ▪ This health warranty is null and void if the dog has been physically mistreated or deprived of proper nutrition and shelter. Should there be a hereditary congenital health problem, a copy of the veterinarian Health Certificate must be sent to Karla Brittson.
Puppy Warranty: ▪ Puppy is believed healthy and has not, knowingly, been exposed to any contagious diseases. ▪ You (the buyer) must take your puppy to a licensed veterinarian for an examination within the first 72 hours of ownership or all said warranties/guarantees would become void. A copy of the veterinarian Health Certificate must be sent to the breeder, Karla Brittson. If there is anything wrong within the first 72 hours, the breeder must be notified verbally and arrangements will be discussed. I (the breeder) am not responsible for veterinarian cost, shipping, or other costs. I (the breeder) cannot guarantee against allergies, as there are so many different causes for them. I (the breeder) also believe this puppy to have a sound mind and stable temperament. I (the breeder) highly recommend puppy & adult training classes to bring out the best in this dog. If you feel there are issues about the puppy’s temperament I (the breeder) will work with you to try and resolve the issue. I (the breeder) need to be kept informed of all behavioral issues. I (the breeder) will not be responsible for issues resulting from abuse, lack of training or inconsistency, as I have no control over those. Should any of the above issues occur, I (the breeder) will normally offer 1 of the following remedies: ▪ Return the puppy or adult dog to the breeder, Karla Brittson, and the breeder will replace the puppy with one of like kind and same or similar breeding. If the buyer chooses to keep the dog then half of the original purchase price will be refunded. I (the breeder) must be notified of any problem within 2 days of the veterinary diagnosis. A written statement from the veterinarian must accompany or shortly (within 1 week) follow this notice. It is the buyer’s responsibility to provide this. Without proper notification the above options cannot be granted. If for any reason, the buyer can no longer keep this dog, the buyer agrees to contact the breeder, who will either take the dog back or help to place it in a new home. Age of the dog does not matter, however compensation will not be given. The buyer agrees to keep the breeder updated on any changes of address. I (the buyer) have read and understand this contract and am in agreement.
